This is a project for a major pharmaceutical customer. The goal of this project was to develop a tool to automate visit routing and selection of the clients their sales representative visit.
Our Solutions
We have developed a tool to automate visit routing and selection of the clients and their sales representative visit. Data was programmatically pulled from three excel spreadsheets: one containing addresses, one with OF (optimal frequency or amount of time to be visited in a quarter) and best time to be visited and one with a gap between OFs and amount of times that the client was visited during the current quarter. Google maps were integrated to pull topographical data. The program, when activated, allows the users to compile their week by filling each day based on a selection of one of the variables or based on topographical information: such as distance from accounts. The solution provided visualization of best choice for next customer to visit based on data available and variable chosen (closest customer, highest OF available at the current time, largest gap). Also we developed visualization of customers on list panel and on map alone or bunched based on variables.
